If you are interested you can visit to http://james.apache.org/ to learn about JAMES (Java Apache Mail Enterprise Server)

What I need to build?

I need a server application that will be able to emails from a website and then can distribute them to the appropriate recipients address. It can also send emails which the users will send to the server.

If anyone interested please let me know, I require few enthusiastic develpers to build this.

Requirements:

1. The application will have one server side that will run on the windows2003 server/XP. It will run in a domain. The server application will get all the emails from a or many webmail account on the web. Then it will reroute all the email locally to their respective users I mean respective email addresses. If you want to know more about this then we have to discuss a lot.

2. The client side application will enable users to check their emails which is stored locally. It will login and the respective emails will show on the screen. It can compose emails and send emails through the server i.e. first it sends a notification to the server application that there's new email to send so the server will connect to the internet and send the email.

Since I want to build this application using JAVA, JAMES is pretty helpful cause JAMES was build for this and we can customize to our needs.
